Mark Bristow is a Financial Coach/Mentor and author based in East Cheshire specialising in helping people overcome the mental blocks that prevent them becoming wealthy.
Drawing on his 27 years experience in the financial world, together with over seven years studying how the mind works, he provides a unique insight into how we feel about ourselves and how money is reflected in our financial position.
During the course of his career in financial services Mark held a number of positions in FTSE 100 companies including Pensions Manager at the UK’s largest Individual Financial Adviser.
This gave Mark a deep insight into the processes of finance and how, with that knowledge, you can use it to your benefit. It was here that he learned in detail the most effective strategies for debt refinancing, minimising interest payments, investing for growth and for income.
He has professional qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute and by the Institute of Financial Planning.
In 2012 he began publishing articles in a blog, which provided sufferers of ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia relief from their condition.
Mark has written numerous courses, articles, books, and blog articles on overcoming debilitating health conditions and achieving excellence in your field. His published books include ‘Running Away From ME’ and the shortly to be published ‘Why Is There So Much Month At The End Of The Money?’.
This is Mark’s latest book. In it he shows exactly how you can ‘Change Your Self Worth to Increase Your Net Worth.’
Mark noticed that there were many people who understood the mechanics of saving money and not getting into debt, but were not putting these strategies into practice. His investigations led to the conclusion that it was people’s attitudes to money that were at the core of the problem. Mark says that many people consciously want to save money yet subconsciously they sabotage the good work that they do.
The solution is both straightforward and profound. The answer is to work on the unconscious beliefs that prevent us from accumulating money first. Once one’s ‘Inner Game’ is sorted out, the ‘Outer Game’ of implementing financial strategies that work is so much easier.
In the book, Mark reveals cutting-edge techniques that quickly transform negative associations with money into positive ones. Mark shows you, through a series of exercises, exactly what to do step by step. Once this Financial Healing is accomplished, the reader can effectively use the financial strategies of saving and investing for wealth.
Mark’s strengths in personal change techniques are reflected in his work as a coach to clients with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia. In 2011 Mark worked with Alison Christensen, who had suffered from ME/CFS – an illness the NHS asserts is incurable – for more than two years. Using his gentle techniques of EFT, NLP and Matrix Reimprinting, Mark not only gave Ali pain relief but allowed her to regain her energy and will to counter her debilitating symptoms.
As a result of this experience, Mark co-authored the book ‘Running Away From ME’ with Ali. The book is written for people suffering from a long term illness, chronic pain, or depression. It’s equally applicable to families and close friends of those suffering and offers hope and an optimistic message.
The book does not prescribe a miracle cure to ME/CFS or Fibromyalgia, but instead explores the journey of the sufferer. It details the real life issues that surround long term illness – money issues, depression, claiming support packages and trying to keep a family together.
The book was written during the worst part of Ali’s illness and describes in details the emotional and physical feelings that were happening at the time. It is a motivational story of how one person and their coach achieved this transformation in their life and how others can do the same. It will also give comfort to people who feel totally alone because of illness, disability or depression.
In addition to his consulting work, Mark is a volunteer for the charity Love, Hope and Strength. In this role, he helps cancer sufferers to gain pain relief and a positive outlook on their life. With his assistance, Love Hope and Strength has access to a website with Mark’s most useful personal change methodologies – for free.
Mark began his financial career with Axa, a FTSE 100 company, as a Sales Consultant, where he developed his understanding of how financial processes operate from the inside. He also learned how to sell financial services, including the features and benefits and pros and cons of specific financial vehicles for specific purposes.
Mark continued his financial career at Hargreaves Lansdown as a Financial Practitioner where he gained a deep knowledge of investment vehicles such as ISAs, SIPPs, funds and shares. It is this knowledge that he calls upon to transform people’s financial situations from debt to income. As a financial insider, Mark knows how to restructure debts and repair clients’ bad credit. He further knows the best investment vehicles for individuals based on their financial outlook.
In 2009/2010 Mark was the Director of Inside & Out Wellbeing – a company that concentrated on breaking down the psychological barriers that prevented people reach their health and wellbeing goals. Here, Mark worked with clients to explode the myths surrounding healthy eating and exercise and allow them to regain their health naturally. Mark became fascinated with the role that the subconscious plays in assisting or resisting change. And he ensured that he trained with the best practitioners who could accomplish change at the subconscious level.
At Inside & Out Wellbeing, Mark was trained in and developed the personal development tools and skills that he uses with private clients to this day.
